At the Renton Chamber of Commerce, we LOVE IT when our Chamber Members partner to create bigger and better things.  For example, the recently announced partnership between Cugini Florists and Fine Gifts and Valley Medical Center, to provide online gift shop services to Valley’s staff and patients alike.

 

For decades, Cugini Florists and Fine Gifts has been a staple in the Renton community. The love and creative touches that make Cugini’s creations their own have persisted, sustained, and blossomed even as ownership transitioned over the years.

About 22 years ago, Cugini Florists had a floral designer by the name of Arique Jacques.  22 years later you’ll still hear the name Arique …. but instead of designer, Arique is now the owner of Cugini Florists!  Through his experience as a floral designer, Arique learned what an amazing experience this type of retail setting can offer to the community.  The time he spent at Cugini stuck with him as his design career continued. 

In 2020, amidst a time of global sorrow, Arique decided to purchase Cugini Florists as a way to lead a more fulfilling life and help continue sending love, happiness, and hope out into the world through specialty gifts and amazing florals.
Spending lots of time at Valley Medical Center during Arique’s mother’s medical care, Arique became familiar with Valley’s facility and saw that the long-time operating gift shop had closed. Arique’s partnership with Valley Medical Center developed because he knew personally how much it means to receive flowers and gifts in the hospital. Arique wanted to give loved ones, friends, and family an easy way to send love, happiness, and hope to those in the hospital, staff, and all persons at Valley.

Supporting his neighbors and community has always been in Arique’s heart. As an artisan/maker himself, he knows how much love goes into a handmade creation and it can be difficult to sell your products. Arique has met many amazing individuals and is proud to partner with them carrying locally made brittle, truffles, candles, jewelry, pickles and sauces, and bath bombs.

Cugini Florists and Fine Gifts is the last remaining brick-and-mortar full-service florist in Renton.  Their history with the community runs deep and Cugini’s has been there through thick and thin for many families over the years.  It is their honor to continue serving the Renton community (and beyond!) as they move into their 51st year in Renton.

Whether you’re sending congratulations on the arrival of a new baby, or well wishes to someone recovering from surgery or illness, Valley’s community partner, Cugini Florists and Fine Gifts, has you covered! In late 2023, Valley and Cugini partnered to provide an online gift shop to make it easy to send a present to a loved one at Valley Medical Center’s main campus. In addition to the large selection of treats, apparel, décor, and gorgeous floral arrangements, sending a gift via the online store has an added bonus—complimentary delivery to Valley’s main campus!*
