Bruce Hudson and his late wife Sue started Hudson Portrait Design in 1982. They were able to turn a hobby and passion into a profitable business during a recession that had interest rates at 18%! Today, Hudson’s is recognized as one of the top studios in the country and has photographed Presidents, Governors, and numerous celebrities. They have photographed over 1200 weddings all over the world. In the past 40 years, Hudson’s has photographed tens of thousands of High School Senior portraits and Family Portraits. In the past 14 years, Bruce had the opportunity to work with his son Josh who was born the first year they were open. Together they made an amazing team with Dad having 4 decades of experience and Son who has become a marketing guru and business consultant. Josh is now the Marketing and business development manager for the successful Rosie Rourke Realstate team.

Hudson’s is currently the longest-standing Renton Chamber member and was the first to win the Renton Business Excellence Award in 1995. Bruce shares, ” After being in business for 40 years, I’m convinced that networking is the key to success as well as being part of and giving back to the community.
