Sol de Noche performs Argentine Tango and other South American folk music such as boleros and ballads. As a duo, Mirta Wymerszberg (vocals, flute, bandoneon) and Stuart Zobel (seven-string acoustic guitar) create a swirl of dramatic artisitc expression. Mirta, a native of Argentina, brings a lifetime of experience with authentic tango music. She received her musical education at the Municipal Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires where she also performed classical music. As a guitarist and composer, Stuart specializes in Latin American music and has held several residencies and given numerous workshops at festivals, schools, and colleges including the Berkeley Choro Festival, Wintergrass, and the Bellingham Folk Festival.
