Wednesday September 25th 2024 9:00 am — 10:30 am
RANU (Renton Area Nonprofits Unite) is for any nonprofit in or benefiting the greater Renton area. An opportunity for like-minded organizations to network and connect and build bridges.
Each meeting has a subject matter presentation designed to uplift those working in the nonprofit world.
If you are going through RANU withdrawal like me, you can't wait for our next meeting.
We don't meet in August, but we will get back together for a great presentation on September 25!
Topic: Nonprofit Conflict – New Insights into Causes and Solutions
Does your organization suffer from infighting, a lack of focus, or ineffective leadership? You share the same vision and values - so why does conflict compromise your ability to reach your goals?
Some conflict is inevitable in any organization- and it’s not always negative. Healthy conflict can invite open dialogue, diverse perspectives and new solutions. But non-profits tend to attract people with similar behavioral styles. Such an imbalance, if unexamined, can lead to unhealthy conflict, underperforming teams, and an inability to fully realize an organization’s mission and operational effectiveness.
This workshop will help you to understand the causes of conflict and provide tools to improve interpersonal and working relationships and shift from unhealthy to healthy conflict.
