Cedar River Trail Park

Scenic Cedar River Trail Park is located at the mouth of the Cedar River where it flows north into Lake Washington. This 24-acre park contains picnic areas that are close to the water, play equipment, and a non-motorized boat launch. A beautiful spot for viewing birds of all species including Blue Herons and Bald Eagles, it is also a place to witness the annual salmon migration into the Cedar River watershed.
TRACK Trail
Calling all children and families! Come explore the Cedar River Trail with TRACK Trail brochures: Animal Athletes, Nature's Hide & Seek, Salmon of the Pacific, and The Need for Trees. Brochures can be picked up at the new kiosk located on the trail and provide a self-guided adventure to learn as you hike. Receive prizes when you record your hike with kidsinparks.com. This program is free.
New Playground Equipment
The new playground equipment at Cedar River Trail Park is now open! It features a ship-themed playground as a nod to the park’s location near the Cedar River and Lake Washington. The new equipment includes slides, climbing ladders, and activity panels and is intended for ages 2 through 12.
The Cedar River Boathouse is within walking distance of the park and provides kayak and canoe rentals, as well as instruction. There are spectacular views of Lake Washington and of aircraft taking off from Renton Municipal Airport.
Picnic Shelter
The picnic shelter is available for reservation or by calling the Renton Community Center, 425-430-6700.
