Meadow Crest Playground is a wonderful place for kids, families and their caretakers. Known as an inclusive playground, this vibrant and colorful outdoor space features fun and challenges for people of all ages and abilities.
The playground was developed in conjunction with the Renton School District, and jointly serves the adjacent Meadow Crest Early Learning Center, along with North Highlands and the greater Renton community.
They playground is divided into four areas:
Children ages two to five, which focuses on early development to help develop balance, coordination, imagination, and social and musical skills.
Children ages five to 12 can play on swings and climbing equipment, including an oval dish swing, large enough for several people to swing together.
An area for all ages includes a climbing wall and two slides, a sliding glider large enough for a wheelchair or two, and a large spinning ring for balance, with a diameter capable of including eight to 10 people.
The Nature Area, nestled below towering Douglas fir trees, features a climbable bear cub and comfortable gathering areas.
