We’re Open: Weatherly Inn Celebrates Newest Senior Living Communityby Chamber Staff on August 1, 2023
Weatherly Inn, a family-owned senior living community, opened its third location in Renton last month. Since its Tacoma origins in 1989, Weatherly Inn has been serving the greater Seattle area with independent, assisted, and memory care options for over 33 years. Renton has welcomed Weatherly Inn as they celebrated the opening of their newest location, making it the company’s third after their memory care exclusive community in Kent.Founder and designer Nancy Munro’s family has been in the senior care business since 1958. Nancy, alongside Larry Bunn, started Weatherly Inn, and the torch was later passed to son Alex Bunn - Weatherly Inn’s CEO. Being family-owned and operated lies at the heart of Weatherly Inn’s values and practice, and they’ve set their sights on being a part of every community they operate in for the long term.
On May 18th, 2023, the Renton community celebrated the grand opening of the newest Weatherly Inn. The party saw over 450 guests, including the city mayor, Armondo Pavone, as well as members of the Renton Chamber of Commerce, members of the Renton City Council, future residents, industry professionals, family, and more.
With 155 apartments, 150,000 square feet, and European-inspired aesthetics, Weatherly Inn Renton is truly a project to marvel at. Their largest location yet, Renton’s community welcomes residents with an in-house salon, multiple outdoor spaces and views, and up-the-road access to UW Valley Medical Center.
The Weatherly Inn team is more than excited to open its doors to the Renton community and is thrilled to welcome its first wave of residents. Longevity sets Weatherly Inn apart, as they build communities to serve families for decades to come as they lead off of generations of experience.
